What Veterans Mean to Me

I honor veterans every day because they fight for us, thus risking their lives. All of the people who fought for us and made it back/ or didn’t, chose to risk their lives, and we should all honor them. They are the reason, we are here today: without them, none of us would have the life we have today. When you say the pledge just remember why we say it. It promotes patriotism. From active members to veterans who are still alive or not they chose and knew they might never see their families again just so we all could stay with ours. Lastly, a veteran to me is someone who fought for us and risked their lives each and every day.
For some years now people who join the military have had the choice to. Back in the 1940-1973 if you were a guy and you were 21 years old you would get a letter saying you have to join.  Now since they choose and join just for us it means so much more. Lastly, each and everyday people from 17 to how ever old it is in the branch you are in which is fantastic that people want to help us.
During the Vietnam War time, many people didn’t really support or honor anyone who wore a uniform. Food was thrown at them just for fighting and helping the world. Many veterans didn’t put on a uniform for many years after that because it was most likely a horrible memory. But, luckily now, veterans and active members are honored. Even if it is just a handshake, it can mean the world to them because it is so much better than before.
 Last week we had a guest speaker come in who is a Vietnam Veteran and talk to us. Someone asked him why he fought and he answered with, “I fought so mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, friends, and neighbors could sleep at night.” I love that quote because it is very true. Our live could me so different with out our veterans.
So, I would just like to say thank you to everyone who is a veteran. You all knew that you may not ever get to do the things you love again or see the people you love again and yet you still decided to go out there and fight for us. Also, lastly I just want you to know I am very proud of all of you I too have family members who have been in the army and it can cause a shift in peoples lives and people still did it anyway. Once again thank you for fighting for us.

Photos From my Town

The first photo is of a friendly neighbor and me. My class and I were walking around town and I noticed she was outside working on her garden. So, I asked if she would take a picture with me, and she gladly said sure. I have seen her quite a few times and she was really nice and friendly. Lastly, yes I probably look really weird but we had spirit week and it was school color day. To conclude that is the description of the first photo. The second picture is a leaf while we were walking I saw this leaf and it looked perfect. There were no other leaves around it that looked so great. I took the picture at the beginning of the walk so it may be a little blury because we were rushing a little bit. To conclude that is really all I have to say about this picture. After Quarantine

What is the first thing you are going to do when the stay-home order is lifted?  The first thing that I am doing when the stay-home order is lifted is visiting my friends. It has been really boring not to be able to see and talk with them every day. I can text them but it is not the same as face to face. Also, I am going to Walmart because I need some stuff to try TikToks of course. Lastly, getting a new phone, I have been waiting to get one and now I can't because I am not gonna order online or go into the store.
